You
can teach a student a lesson for a day;
but
if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity,
he
will continue the learning process as long as he lives.

Profile
Further information
Being visually impaired myself, I started to teach speaking to visually impaired students while I was writing my thesis on this topic. I realized that speaking is the most important part of English language learning, not only because it helps the students make themselves understood in foreign countries, but also because it enables them to develop vocabulary and become aware of the grammatical structure of the English language. "People who know a language are referred to as 'speakers' of that language, as if speaking included all other kinds of knowing; and many if not most foreign language learners are primarily interested in learning to speak" (Ur, 1996).
Now
you may think: "Yes, you are right, I also believe that speaking is the
most important thing in foreign language learning. But what on earth
should I
do to be good at it?"
It
is obvious that if you want to be good at
speaking you have to speak and speak and speak! And you have to speak
about
topics you are interested in and have something new to say about.
Therefore,
in my lessons I include not only the
topics chosen by myself, but also the topics chosen by the students: I
give the
students a questionnaire in which they should write the topics they
would like
to discuss and involve them in some of my lessons.
In my lessons I use a variety of
speaking activities which I base either on real life or imaginative
situations.
I put emphasis on fluent use of language rather than development of
accuracy,
which means, that I do not correct all of the students' mistakes, but
only
those that I consider the most important.

unusual
things to be included in the hotel service;
or

the guest’s unusual

and shouts at the guest.
Become a storyteller and invent your own story in which the main characters are not people but real objects such as teddy bear, postcard, cap and button.

One
of the "golden rules" of teaching is that the more senses one
engages, the quicker the learning process is.
In
most schools students learn English
with their eyes: they read textbooks, memorise words and study grammar
rules.
In my lessons you will not learn only with your eyes, but also with
your ears,
touch, smell and taste.

to the

the waves crashing against the shore and speak about the best summer

Listen

Touch
kitchen utensils, articles of clothing,
plush animals, handman's

Smell
scented oils,
perfumes, flowers... and say what they remind you of.
Taste
different kinds of spice, fruit,

I am enthusiastic about teaching speaking; I am communicative, optimistic, lively and fun-loving. I am helpful, open-minded, creative and imaginative. I believe that a really good teacher should be a child in his soul, should put his heart and soul into his work, and should be able to awaken students' interest in learning.
